We would like to invite you to our next Behind The Scenes Event: Unilever Site Visit, which will take place on Tuesday 5 September at 10 AM.
With COP28 coming closer it’s time to visit our esteemed DSG member and frontrunner on the field of sustainability: Unilever.
Unilever’s Dubai Personal Care (DPC) is its flagship Personal Care manufacturing facility in the region. It produces some of its most well-known brands such as Dove, Vaseline, and Sunsilk.
It embeds 4IR technologies in all aspects of its operations and was recognized in Jan 2020 by the World Economic Forum as an 'Advanced 4th Industrial Revolution Lighthouse' – first within Unilever, the UAE, and first non-energy site in MENA to be so recognized.
DPC is also a leader in sustainability and is one of the first factories in the region to stop sending non-hazardous waste to landfill, using 100% clean electricity. It has both Solar Photovoltaic and Solar Thermal systems making it one of the region’s largest private solar parks.
It is Gold LEED’s certified, with ISO 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 22716 and Emirates Quality Mark Certifications, and the recipient of the Dubai Quality Global Award – 2018 (DQA-Global).
